Obsidian Tavern is a comprehensive platform for writers to craft, organize, and develop rich, immersive fictional worlds. Our services include:

  • World reference and worldbuilding tools

  • Writing challenges and prompts
  • Community features (tavern feed, word wars, snippets)
  • Educational courses and bundles
  • Other features and tools as we develop them

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of our service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate and current
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Accept all responsibility for activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

All course materials, platform features, design, text, graphics, and other content provided by Obsidian Tavern are owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

5. Paid Services

Pricing and Payment

Certain features and content require payment. You agree to:

Refunds

Refund policies are determined on a case-by-case basis. For course refunds, please contact us at team@obsidiantavern.com within 30 days of purchase to discuss your situation.

Subscription Services

  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
  • You may cancel at any time through your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • No refunds for partial subscription periods

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OBSIDIAN TAVERN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Obsidian Tavern, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys' fees) arising out of:

  • Your use of our services
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • Your content posted on our platform

15. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

  • Violation of these Terms
  • Fraudulent or illegal activity
  • Prolonged inactivity
