Sets of Three

Sets of Three

In-progress

For everyone else who's ever wondered how long humans can stay human when there's nothing left to do but exist.

You wake up in a concrete hole. Twenty feet across. Forty feet deep. Smooth walls you can't climb. A circle of gray sky that never changes.

Two other people are with you. You don't know them. You don't know how you got here. You don't remember anything except starting your day and then nothing.

No phones. No watches. No ladder. No rope. No way out.

Just three strangers and time that doesn't work right and the growing realization that maybe this is it. Maybe this is all there is now.

This isn't an escape story. There's no mysterious villain to outsmart, no puzzle to solve, no redemption arc. This is about what happens to people when you strip away everything except each other and endless time. It's about how three people is the worst possible number. Too few to build anything real, too many to maintain peace.

The pit doesn't need to torture you. You'll do it to yourselves.

For everyone else who's ever wondered how long humans can stay human when there's nothing left to do but exist.
